 Why do I create?

The ability to create invigorates my spirit. My creations give life to something that was only a dream and allow me to share my ideas, feelings, experiences with others.

What I create is not as important as what I what to share. The value is not in the art object itself, but in the act of sharing my vision with others.

Mission:

To share my creations with others and provide a medium in which we can communicate emotionally.

To seek ways to have my art tell a story and to start a conversation, not only about the art itself, but also about what is evoked from within oneself.

About

With a major in Industrial Arts and a minor in Fine Arts from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, I taught many subjects such as graphic arts, drafting, construction, metal work, and electronics in the public, secondary schools.  I also taught video journalism and videography at Sacred Hearts Academy.  Now retired, I have returned to my first passion of creating art.

I look at art as a continual process of discovery and challenges.   The cycle of learning and growth, then sharing of my art continues to motivate me.
